Susan Marie "Sue" (Witcher) Allen, of Mokelumne Hill, CA, devoted wife, cherished mother, and adored friend, passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends on Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2017, she was just 58 years young. Beautiful, loving, and with a tenaciously competitive spirit, she stood out amongst her peers and colleagues all thru life. She was acknowledged as a Student Leader from grammar school thru High School, earning Championship Trophies and Varsity Letters in multiple sports, including Gymnastics, and Swim Team. Her best friend, Tiki, was a Palomino mare. And there were no other bonds as pure or complete for her until that one Miracle occurred, which was the birth of her only child, Jessica Marie Allen. On May 5th, 1985, she married her ‘other' best friend, Jeffrey Robert Allen, and shortly after moved to Mokelumne Hill, CA. There she co-founded the first Calaveras Gold Gymnastic Center, and Coached countless young girls and boys, who became confident, agile, and self-aware young men and women in our community. Sue later continued that legacy as an ACE Certified Personnel Trainer. She is much loved by so many, and will be sorely missed by all. Born on July 30, 1958, to her wonderful parents, Jerry Beauchamp and Judith Ann (Clarke) Witcher, in Monterey, CA, she was the third of three siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry and Allen, and mother, Judith (Witcher) Tombe. Sue is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Allen, of Mokelumne Hill, CA; daughter, Jessica (Tristan) Botha; grandchildren, Ezekiel, Audrey and the third jewel of the crown due Feb 22, 2017 Botha of Australia; and father, Jerry (Sharon) Witcher. A Celebration for Sue is tentatively planned for mid-spring. Announcements will be sent out soon. Always the animal rescuer, Sue would like, in lieu of flowers, that you wish her well thru contributions to the Local Chapter of the ASPCA.
