Jack Tom Schneider

Jack "Tom" Schneider, 75, of Pioneer, CA, passed away on June 20th, 2015, after complications due to a long battle with diabetes. He was born April 18th, 1940 in Portland, Oregon, to Elizabeth Hawkins (Rawitzer) and Fred Godsey. His adoptive parents were Jack and Dorothy Schneider. Tom was a graduate of Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, CA. He was active in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and was a Service Copier Technician/Manager at Pitney-Bowes for 40 years. Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports, playing cribbage, participating in church ,and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Schneider; his daughter, Lori Lynn (Troy) Garot, of Fairfield, CA and son, James Thomas (Ani) Schneider of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Deserae, Nicole, Ryan, and Jack; and brother, Floyd Hawkins, of San Lorenzo, CA. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jackson, CA. Contributions in honor of Tom may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 42 Summit Street Jackson, CA 95642, or Judy Schneider 16630 Meadow Vista Drive, Pioneer, CA 95666. Judy is working with the county of Amador to get a dialysis center opened in Jackson, CA, and the funds would go into this account in honor of Tom.
