Guy Mitchell Miller of Sutter Creek, passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of his family and his Hospice Team. Guy was born in Salt Lake, Utah. Life as a youth was that of a military family, living in several states as well as Japan where he attended part of his early school days. His family finally settled in Fair Oaks, California where he attended High School and College. He moved to Sutter Creek in 1980 where he spent the remainder of his years in the peace of the Sierras. Guy met his wife, Penny, in 1983 and when they later married he became Papa Guy to her 4 children, Ruth, Susie, Tim and Kurt and in time, to 8 grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Tucker, Hunter, Dash, Alana, Cole and Savannah. Guy proudly served four years in the United States Navy where he learned his lifelong trade and career as an Electrician and later as an Electrical Technician. He spent 31 years in the employment of Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) working all areas of generation. He began his career with SMUD in the nuclear power field at Rancho Seco and his final years back at Rancho Seco working the solar field. Summing up Guy's life would be to say: "He truly lived by the Golden Rule." Guy is survived by his wife, Penny Tone; brother, Thomas Miller and his wife, Jonetta of Oregon City, Oregon, his niece, DeLoria Beth and nephew, Robert of Oregon City, Oregon.
