Emma Marie Ianni, of Lodi, CA, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Jackson, CA at the age of 87. She was born in Jackson, CA on November 28, 1926 to the late Rafaele and Maria (Vitti) Ianni. After graduating from Jackson High School in 1944 she continued her education at St. Louis University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Emma answered a spiritual calling to become a nun for 24 years. She changed careers and worked as a registered nurse for 45 years. Emma spent her leisure time watching football and baseball. Emma is survived by her sister, Connie Fincham; nephews, Gary Fincham, Richard Ianni, Steven Ianni, Ralph Ianni, Robert Ianni, David Ianni, Henry Ianni; nieces, Rosie Feretti, Josephine Ianni; nephew, Robert Perrin; nieces, Claudia Perrin, Janeane Perrin; nephew, Michael Perrin; and sister-in-law, Virginia Ianni. She was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta; brothers, Louis, Henry, Sam, Tony, Joe, Ralph; niece, Connie; and nephew, Merlin. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Interment will be in the Jackson City Cemetery in Jackson.
