Rodney Blaine Tripp passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in Valley Springs, CA at the age of 91. He was born February 10, 1923 in Calleo, UT to George and Inez Tripp, one of 13 children. He graduated from Lehi High School in Lehi, UT and went into the U.S. Army the same year. Rodney was wounded and spent some time in the hospital. He was discharged on August 28, 1945 and started college at Utah State in Logan, UT, graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Rodney worked several places in UT before moving to CA. He worked for Lockheed Martin Missile and Space in Sunnyvale, CA and retired after 25 years. He coordinated a Single Adult Fellowship in San Jose, CA at the same time. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Zelta Tripp. He also leaves behind his children, Sheryl Hopkins, Pam Tripp, Steve Tripp, Greg Tripp; step-daughters, Mary Boardman, Carol Redding; siblings, Beverlee Peterson, Virginia Downs, Deon Walker, Eudene Parkes, Doyle Tripp and Boyd Tripp. Friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at noon at Daneri Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in the Garden of Valor at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA.
