James "Jim" Arthur Baker
May 23rd, 1920 - July 2nd, 2014
James (Jim) Arthur Baker of Stockton, CA, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Oak Creek Assisted Living in Stockton at the age of 94. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on May 23, 1920 to the late Ray Potter and Mary Pearl (Campbell) Baker. Jim was the oldest surviving sibling in his family, which included brothers Paul and Alan Baker and sister Jean (Baker) Paeske. Jim is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Baker) Allen of Auburn, CA, her husband Steve Allen, Barbara (Baker) McDonald of San Jose, CA her husband Brian McDonald; grandchildren, Kristy Allen and Kelsi Marie (McDonald) Bennett and her husband Alex Bennett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Myrtle Elizabeth "Betsy" Baker in 1994. Jim worked as a Machinist/Engineer at Dole Pineapple in HI, Hughes Aircraft in So. CA and retired from IBM in San Jose CA. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Golden Memories at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of San Joaquin.
