Our beautiful Mother Jeanice Lugo passed away peacefully on January 8, 2014 in Santa Barbara after her battle with cancer. She was selfless and giving, a quality we so admired in her. She LOVED life and her family with an unshakeable passion. We will miss her wit, sense of humor, sparkle in her eyes and that wonderful smile. She will make a perfect angel! Jeanice was born July 2, 1941 in Eureka, CA and lived most of her life in Santa Barbara, venturing to other cities for only a little while before coming back "home" to Santa Barbara. Volunteering and helping others in the community was another passion in her life, along with Fiesta and Christmas (her two favorite times of the year!) She is survived by her husband Sebastian, who has been the apple of her eye for the last 25 years, her three daughters Debbie Wade (Ken), Laura Haas (Geoff) and Vickie Martinez (Luis), her sisters Joan Justi, Jolinda Pizzirani and Jerry Newton and her four grandchildren Marissa, Nicholas, Corina and Karlee. Services will be held on Friday January 24th at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1500 Linden Ave., Carpinteria, CA A special thank you to the Leukemia Society for their support over the years.
