Patricia Irene Tallent

Patricia Irene Tallent passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at her home of 34 years in Pioneer at the age of 66. She was born in Oakland, CA on August 14, 1945 to Evelyn (Rossman) and Alvin L. Silva. Patricia was a survivor of both Polio at age two and a bout with breast cancer in 1999. In 1962, at age 17, she was crowned Miss Rodeo. Patricia was self-employed as a seamstress for 34 years and donated her talent as a costume designer to the Volcano Theater Company. She considered herself an artist, taking her oil painting supplies on an annual trip to the Redwoods on Highway 1. Patricia enjoyed her home, butterflies, angels, and the nature around her, especially the deer she fed on her property. She is survived by her son, Mike, his wife, Tonja, and her grandson, Nathan in Fair Oaks, CA.; her niece Kathy Lang and her husband Brian also in Fair Oaks; and her nephew, David, his wife, Sondra, and their son, Daniel, in Texas. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, CA, at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 14. Interment was private.
