Yvonne Marie Ide

Yvonne Marie Parades Ide was born and raised in Jackson, CA and was happy to live her entire life in Amador County. She was the daughter of Dortha and Edwin "DeDe" Parades. She was preceded in death by her only brother Johnny known as "Bubby" and beloved sister Janice known as "Jelly". She graduated from Jackson High School in the 60's where she was active as a cheerleader, prom queen and various other social activities. After graduation she met and married Tom Ide resulting in her proudest accomplishments; her two sons, Tom Jr. and 18 months later Tim. She was a devoted wife and mother, choosing to drive the local school bus once her boys were enrolled in Pine Grove Elementary and Pioneer Middle School. In the 80's Yvonne was blessed with two grandsons, Andy and Christopher whom she adored. Recently Christopher and his wife, Danisha, with the birth of their daughter, Xaye, made her a great-grandmother. In the 90's Yvonne worked for the Amador County Unified School District as a teaching assistant and devoted herself to the education and care of many special needs students. She was in contact with many even after her retirement. Yvonne loved to garden and enjoyed going to car shows with friends. She loved to cook with and for her sons teaching them all of her family secrets! Telling them "remember I don't measure I just add". She loved days in the sun and being barefoot! Many will remember how she "mothered" all the kids while driving the school bus and her "no nonsense" take on life while always being fair. Later in her life she enjoyed her privacy as well as reading and sharing novels with her son, Tom. She remained close to her family, always willing to share and help out if anyone ever was in need. Yvonne Ide was a priceless gift to her family an endearing friend to many and will be missed by all. Friends are invited to attend a visitation Thursday, December 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 23 at 11:00 A.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. Inurnment will be in the Jackson Catholic Cemetery in Jackson.
