Charles M. Headley, Jr., 69 of Mt. Akum, CA passed away peacefully in his home on August 17, 2010. He was born in Zanesville, OH, and enjoyed his life in California. Chuck spent 4 years on active duty in the Air Force. After this time he continued working with the military at Mather AFB for the next 31 years as the Heat Shop Foreman with the Civil Service. He enjoyed his years playing golf as a member of the Cold Springs Golf and Country Club. This is where he was affectionately known as just "Cowboy" to everyone he met. He lived a long, busy life also with fishing in Union Valley and hunting around the area of his home. Chuck was known for loving Mother Nature and always took advantage of being able to enjoy it. His Grandparents and parents, also of Zanesville, Ohio, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Carolyn M. Headley currently of Mt. Akum. Also surviving are 2 sons, 1 daughter and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Snowline Hospice for their excellent care and help during this time. Chuck will be missed by many and forever loved.
