Linda Christine Mello

Linda Christine Mello (Nickie White) passed away November 16, 2023, in Jackson, CA at the age of 75. She passed peacefully in the presence of family. She was born July 1, 1948, at Tachikawa Air Base in Japan to Rollin and Ruth (Pollock) White. Nickie attended Jackson High School where she enjoyed being on pep squad as a cheer and song leader. She loved living in Pioneer where she enjoyed gardening and working on her house. After 20 years she retired from the Jackson Rancheria. Nickie is survived by her sons, Jason Mello (Dawn Marie) of Herald, CA, and Russ Mello (Angie) of Pine Grove, CA; sister, Lannie White of Jackson, CA; brother, Mark White of Arizona; sister, Wendy McKimmy of Rancho Murieta, CA; sister, Penny White of Moscow, ID. Nickie is preceded in death by Rollin and Ruth White, Sep and Gail White and Nicole Breider. Nickie’s love of life was her family especially her 5 grandchildren, Luke, Heaven, Jason, Brooklyn and Ali. Nieces and nephews, Sarah Crowe, Hardy McKimmy, Matt McKimmy, Tessa Scholl, Marie Lowry, Dana White, and Rob Breider. Nickie had a zest for life, as she enjoyed traveling and going to concerts. She was very creative, full of life, fun and she had a great sense of humor. Nickie was a sunny light, and she will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
