Loretta Patricia King

Loretta Patricia King (March) went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2024. Loretta was born in Jackson, CA on October 29, 1958, to Ira and Patricia March. She grew up in Sutter Creek and attended Amador High School, graduating in 1976 as Valedictorian. She then went on to obtain her AA degree in business from San Joaquin Delta College. Loretta married the love of her life, Bill, on April 21, 1990, and leaves a lasting legacy with her 4 children and 4 grandchildren. She had multiple jobs over her lifetime, including the following: Manager at the Sutter Creek Inn, Customer Service Representative at Blue Shield of California, and for the last 25 years, Office Manager for Air King Heating & Air. Loretta gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ as a child: she professed it to be the most important decision she ever made. Her love for Jesus influenced everything she did, and this love overflowed into the love she had for her family, friends, and community. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, leading the Intercessory Prayer Group at King’s View Assembly of God, riding her pink bicycle around town, reading her Bible, gardening, and cooking for her family. Loretta is survived by her loving husband of nearly 34 years, Bill King; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael James Byerly of Lodi and their children, Albert, Vivienne, and a baby girl due in July; son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Missy King of Lathrop and their child, Everhett; son, Adam King of Sacramento; daughter, Caitlyn King of Stockton. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel March of Yuba City and multiple nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Patricia March; brothers, Phillip and George March. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Ione Public Cemetery in Ione, CA. Immediately following, there will be a celebration of life at King’s View Assembly of God, 432 West Marlette Street in Ione. Anyone who knew Loretta or the family is welcome to attend.
