Lois Jean Johnson

Lois Jean Johnson, 86, of Sutter Creek, California, departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 5, 2024. Lois Jean Bartlett was born on February 26, 1937, in Osawatomie, Kansas to Leroy Bates Bartlett and Ethel Elizabeth Newman. At the young age of 12, Lois accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she learned to play the piano. Lois attended high school in Kansas City, Missouri, and later attended Kansas City Bible College and Rockhurst University. In the 1970s, Lois visited California and later settled in Sutter Creek, where she became a real estate agent and started her own business called Argonaut Realty. Lois’s first love was her Lord and Savior, and she was an avid and devoted prayer warrior. Lois has been attending Grace Fellowship of Amador for approximately 20 years. She fondly referred to others in her church as her family, and she expressed her admiration and love for them frequently. Her second love was the piano. She played during church events at every opportunity, and in her later years, she taught others how to play. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Bartlett and Ethel Newman, and her older sister, Rosalie Van Wye. She is survived by her younger sister, Joyce (Dan) Howard of Dickinson, Texas, as well as a niece and two nephews. A celebration of Lois’s life is being planned for the near future.
