John David Curtis, 70, of Salinas, passed away on July 21, 2013 in Salinas. He was born on October 5, 1942 in Dallas, Texas. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After serving, he worked as an industrial mechanic for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lorna Curtis his children, Angela Carll Brian, Jason and Timothy Curtis ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren sister, Mary Schriver No Services will be held, creamtion to take place. To Help Defray Funeral Expenses, Donations may be made directly to the Family....

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
