Gloria Santana
July 26th, 1932
Gloria Ann Santana, 81, lifelong resident of Salinas, quietly went to Heaven on February 14, 2014 in Salinas, CA, joining her parents, Felipe and Herlinda Santana. She was born on July 26,1932 in Glendale, Arizona and moved to Salinas in 1942. Gloria attended Salinas Union High School and graduated in 1952. She worked as a caregiver at In-Home Support Services with Monterey County. Gloria enjoyed arts, crafts and Bingo. She especially enjoyed her trips to the ocean side, San Franciso Zoo, New Orleans, LA and the Grand Canyon, AZ. Many thanks to all the Angels and staff at Pacific Coast Care Center, and her best friends, Margie and Juanita during her one year stay there. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Herlinda Santana; sisters, Henrietta Ybarra, Lupe Tabera, Bertha, Mercie and Carmen Santana; Celia Valdez, Pasquala Nava; brothers, Luz and Eddie Santana. Gloria is survived by her sister, Mary Ruby (Felix, Jr.) Provencio and brother, Tim Santana. As a loving "Auntie" she is also survived by her niece, Stephanie Benavides, Eddie Cain along with other numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Chapel Blessing will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:30pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
