Felix Sanchez
August 21st, 1944 - June 16th, 2014
Felix G. Sanchez, Jr., 69, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on June 16, 2014 in Salinas. He was born on August 21, 1944 in Ciudad Acuna, Coah., Mexico. In his younger years, Felix loved to fish and hunt. He especially loved being in the outdoors. He was an entrepreneur and operated "Felix's Record Shop" for over 21 years. He had a hugh love and passion for playing Black Jack. Felix was a previous bus driver for Santa Cruz Metro for over 8 years, and was most recently a security guard for Pacific Security. Felix is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patricia Sanchez; daughters, Carmalin (Dave) Resz and Carol Morgan; sons, Robert (Erica) Sanchez, Alex Sanchez and Marcos (Danielle) Sanchez; sisters, Delia Gamez, Irma Moreno and Stella Sanchez; brothers, Harvey, George and Raul Sanchez; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Juanita Sanchez, brother, Jesse Sanchez and sister, Rachel Salazar. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Chapel Blessing will take place on Saturday, June 21 at 11am at Healey Mortuary Chapel 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Cremation to follow services.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
