William J Conte better known to his friends and family as "Bill or Papa", passed away at the age of 75 on May 2, 2015 after battling several forms of cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 24, 1939 in San Francisco, CA to Joseph and Ann Conte of Italy. In 1979, he married his beloved wife Judith Conte. He worked in and later owned Valley Auto Supply in San Francisco, CA for over 50 years! He enjoyed sharing his many stories and his passion for cars with his friends and family. Bill was a loving, caring and funny man, those that knew him always enjoyed hearing his stories from his childhood and adulthood. Bill is survived by his wife Judith Conte of 36 years and his daughter Stephanie Mongarro; his granddaughter Alexandra Mongarro; sister in law Gayle Slyter; niece Molly Briseño and husband Juan, grandnieces Ashleigh Child and Isabella Briseño along with a large extended family including his daughter Suzanne Conte. As well as many friends and neighbors in Salinas as well as San Francisco. A Memorial Service with Chapel Blessing will take place on Friday, May 15, 2015 11:30am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
