Rebecca Morgan Mendez, 34, resident of Salinas, passed away on May 24, 2015, after a long illness in Salinas. She was born on November 22, 1980. Rebecca previously lived 20 years in San Jose, Mountain View and Los Angeles. She worked as a customer service receptionist in healthcare at Park Lane for 2 years. Rebecca was the only child to her parents, Sulyman and Renee Sabankaya, whom she is survived by, also grandparents, Humberto and Mary Mendez, aunts, Gloria, Roxanne, Rosemary, Ruth, Rachel, Antoinette and Maria, uncles, Andrew, Robert, Peter and Patrick, cousins, Anthony Joseph Mendez, along with extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her uncle, Phillip. Private Services will be held.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
