Loretta Sawyer
April 16th, 1928 - September 3rd, 2015
Loretta Sawyer was born in Coal County, Oklahoma on April 16, 1928. She passed away on September 3, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. Loretta lived a long, full life. Her greatest joy was visiting with her husband, children and grandchildren, her extended large family and friends. Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Clyde Sawyer; children, Stan Linker (Elena) and Gary Linker (Wendy); grandchildren, Erin Metcalf, Les Linker, Amy Linker, Laura Schmidt (Ryan), Jonathan Linker (Linda) and Brad and Gregory Sawyer; siblings, Sue Swanson and Gerald Taylor; stepchildren, Jerry Sawyer (Cindi), Tom Sawyer and Susan Kiri (John) along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In accordance with Loretta's wishes, there will be no formal service. Memorials may be made to VNA and Hospice of the Central coast at 5 Lower Ragsdale Dr. Monterey, CA 93940, or a charity of one's choice.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
