May 12th, 1933 - November 27th, 2015
German A. Dorion, 82, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on November 27, 2015 in Salinas. He was born on May 12, 1933 in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines. German was a member and parishioner of Madonna del Sasso Church in Salinas. He was a member of the Filipino Community of the Salinas Valley, the Laoguenians of Monterey County, 1st and 2nd Regiment Association of Salinas, Visaya Santo Nino, Filipino Fil-Am Community Club of the Monterey Peninsula and also served as past President of Barangay Lion's Club and the Filipino American Civic League. German previously worked as an electronic assembler at Ampexx in Union City for over 20 years. German is survived by, his loving wife, Rosario Dorion daughters, Nelia (Carl) Silvania and Anna Dorion son, Noel (Eleanor) Dorion sister, Violeta Tobias grandchildren, Clarence and Caspar Silvania Madeleine Nacer Ryan, Randy and Rylan Dorion Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 6pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, December 7, 2015 10am at Madonna del Sasso Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
