June 30th, 1921 - February 20th, 2016
Syble Adel Westfall Amaral, 94, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on February 20, 2016 at her home. She was born on June 30, 1921 in Bethel, Mc Curtain County, Oklahoma. Syble is survived by, her sons, Edward (Joyce) Westfall and Carl (Janet) Westfall sister, Gracie Combs and brother, Lonnie Brakefield nieces, Judy Hodge, Bobbie Brakefield and Pat Varnette nephews, Larry, Jerry and Norman Combs grandchildren, Dawn Wakefield, Cindy Anton, Brenda Plantz, Natasha Gutierrez-Nava and Scott and Steven Westfall and daughter-in-law, Mary Westfall also survives. She is preceded in death by, former husband, Floyd L. Westfall husband, Anthony Amaral parents, William and Mary Elizabeth Brakefield sons, Melvin and Gary A. Westfall and nephew, James Combs. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 11am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Graveside Committal to follow at 2:30pm at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church 404 Lincoln Ave. Salinas, CA 93901.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
