Barbara Jean Hamilton, 85, left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Salinas. Fondly known as "Mamo" to family and many young adults; she retired from J.C. Penny to care for her mother, Loleta Graham. Barbara was born in Springdale, Arkansas, where her grandparents and parents moved to Woodlake, CA during the "Dust Bowl". Barbara was a devoted Mother and Mother-in-Law to daughter, Cindy (George) Feeser. Grandmother to three, Great-Grandmother to five and Great-great-grandmother to two. She is preceded in death by her beloved pooch companion, "Abby". April 6, 2016... "Happy 86th Birthday, Mom, We love You!".

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
