Richard "Richie" Mcbride II
April 5th, 1977 - August 21st, 2016
Life Legacy Richard "Ritchie" Earl McBride II, passed away unexpectedly at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital as a result of a Coronary Artery Dissection. Richie was born on April 5, 1977 to Richard and Patricia McBride in Salinas, CA where he was raised and attended Alisal High School. As a star athlete Richie lettered in various sports, excelling in football and basketball graduating in June 1995. After briefly attending San Diego State University he chose to work in the family business as manager of McBride’s Auto Smog Shop. He was avidly active with youth sports and was an admired coach and mentor to many local youth. Richie was a wonderful and devoted father. Richie is survived by his pride and joy, Jayden Petra McBride. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Loreen McBride and his father, Richard Earl McBride, sisters, Shawnee McBride and Connie Jones (James), 5 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 great-nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and closely cherished friends. He was preceded in death by, his grandparents, Ollie & Buela Bonham, and Irvin & Gladys McBride. Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 from 1 PM - 7 PM at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Salinas Valley Community Church, 368 San Juan Grade Road, Salinas, CA 93906. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
