John (Jack) Jagoda Jr Resident of Concord California October 29, 1938 2023 Jack as most knew him, passed away after a five year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was active and energetic, bowling, golfing, playing tennis, and hitting the gym, until the symptoms would no longer allow. Jack was born in Waynesburg Pennsylvania, and moved to Richmond California as a teen, where his Polish father was a photographer, and his Italian mother a secretary at a Cadalliac dealership. He graduated from Richmond High in 1956 and loved belonging to the Richmond Car Club. After high school he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at the Presidio in SF. Upon returning to Richmond he joined the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers union where he was part of building many buildings in the Silicon Valley, San Francisco and larger Bay Area. He competitively raced his Corvette, was a little league baseball coach, a bit of an entrepreneur, at one point owning a liquor store, and had an eye for real estate. Jack enjoyed spending time watching sports, especially the Raiders with his buddies from the Union and the Concord Elks Club. Jack is survived by son Tony and step daughter Michelle and their families. He is also lovingly remembered by family in Ohio and Pennsylvania. His larger than life personality will be missed by all who knew him. He cherished and remembered vividly the good times with his friends and family until the very end.
