Marie R. Hurn Resident of Pinole, CA September 26, 1920 - February 10, 2020 Marie was born in Montwell, Utah. She was one of 8 children, 6 girls and 2 boys. She married Homer Dyer Hurn, March 8, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona. Homer was in the Army during World War II and Marie worked as a Rosie the Riveter. After Homers release from the Army they moved to Richmond, CA. Marie was a homemaker and worked at American Standard while Homer built his career at Rheem Manufacturing Co. Homer lost his battle with cancer April 7, 1990. Marie is survived by two daughters, Carol Smith and David Smith, son-in-law of Concord, CA, and Sonya Moore of Indio, CA and a son, Brent Richardson and Elaine Richardson, daughter-in-law of St. George, Utah. Marie has 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by a sister, Beth Howes, of Grand Junction, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many years in various calling including helping the Cambodian and Laotian members of the church. Her charitable spirit continues to be an example to friends and family. Friends and family are invited on Saturday, February 15, 2020 to a visitation 9:30-10:30 and services at 11:00 am to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 4351 Hilltop Dr., El Sobrante. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Concord, CA.
