Kathleen June VanBuskirk

We share with great sorrow that Kathleen June VanBuskirk, 57, passed away on April 23, 2022, after a difficult and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Kathleen spent her final days at home in Pleasant Hill, California surrounded by her family, close friends, and dogs Poppy and Bella. Kathleen was born on June 25, 1964, in Little Falls, New York. The daughter of Frederick and Mardean (Morey) Euron, Kathleen grew up in upstate NY, graduating from Little Falls High School in 1982. She earned her B.S. in chemistry in 1986 from the University at Albany (SUNY). Kathleen moved to California in 1988 where she continued her career in healthcare at Roche Biomedical and Johnson & Johnson. She had a keen mind for research and business. In 1990, she met her husband and chiropractor, Dr. Rod VanBuskirk. The pair fell in love and were married on May 9, 1992. Kathleen welcomed becoming a stepmom to Morgan, Rods daughter from a previous relationship. Rod and Kathleen went on to have two children of their own, Cole and Mikelle. Kathleen was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and parishioner. She was a gourmet cook and avid learner. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joys in her life. Our lives will never be the same without her. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Rod VanBuskirk of Pleasant Hill, CA; children Morgan (Colt) Daniels of Fallon, NV, Cole (Hannah) VanBuskirk of Los Osos, CA, and Mikelle VanBuskirk of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Stiles, Daxton and Capri VanBuskirk of Los Osos, CA, Andy Gene Daniels of Fallon, NV; and parents, Fred and Mardean Euron of Little Falls, NY; and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her only sister, DeAnne Krywka. A memorial service will take place at Morello Hills Christian Church in Martinez, CA at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
