Nancy Lee Kelson
January 14th, 1944 - January 24th, 2022
Nancy Lee Kelson returned home to her Heavenly Father on Monday after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimers Disease. She had a kind, generous spirit and touched many lives with her love and infectious personality. Nancy was born in Cedar Rapids, IA, and graduated from North High School in Torrance, CA. She and her family moved to Benicia in 1978. She earned an A.A. in Registered Nursing from Solano Community College and spent 15 years working as a Pediatric nurse at John Muir Memorial Hospital in Walnut Creek.. Nancy was an active member of her church community, member of the "Red Hat Society" and the DAR, and also spent many years working with the cheerleading squad and marching band at Benicia High School. She enjoyed boating and waterskiing, quilting and various other crafts, game nights with friends, and most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Ron; loving children Robyn Sickler (Mike) of Vacaville, Kristin Hinchman of Collegeville, PA, and Jennifer Heinz (Jon) of Oakley; adoring grandchildren Asher Hinchman (Alexis), Sheldon Treseder, Ben Hinchman, Shelby Hopkins (Denver), Kayla Heinz, Emily Hinchman, Sophie Hinchman, Joshua Heinz, and Hannah Heinz; and great-granddaughter Millie Hopkins. Family and friends are invited to attended services for Nancy on Saturday February 5th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1125 Southampton Rd, Benicia. Viewing will be at 10 am and services will follow at 11 am. Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
