William ""Bill"" Russell Rooks July 26, 1940 - November 30, 2012 Resident of Walnut Creek, CA Originally of Memphis, TN In the early hours on November 30, 2012, Bill Rooks passed away peacefully and gracefully with his adoring wife of 54 years, Jerri, by his side. Bill was loved by an enormous network of family and friends, as he touched countless lives in a way that will always be treasured. He was immensely generous, exceptionally kind and shared his wonderful sense of humor to the end. Bill's unfathomably special relationship with Jerri, who had been his constant companion since the age of 14, provided continuous joy throughout his life to both them and others. He went to be with our Lord content and grateful. Bill is survived by his wife (Jerri), three children (Cindy Abramson, Robin Ward, and Russ Rooks), three grandchildren (Colby Ward and Mackenzie and Nicholas Abramson), and two sisters (Delores Irby and Linda Herron).
