Kenneth Myrton Faulkner

Kenny was born to Myrton and Frances Faulkner in Downey, California where he spent a large portion of his youth playing and working in his fathers shop, "Faulkners Garage". After his fathers death, Kenny and Frances moved to Whittier, Ca. Upon leaving school Kenny went to work driving truck hauling various goods throughout California. In 1949 Kenny married Ruth Marion Dill (Deceased) and moved to Oakland, Ca. In 1950 Kenny and Ruth bought a house in Pleasant Hill, Ca and started raising a family. When the family began to outgrow their 2 bedroom home Kenny moved the family to Walnut Creek, Ca. where he lived until his peaceful passing in his sleep death at the age of 98. In 1958 Kenny altered his career course, joined the Automotive Machinists Union and went to work for Diamond Building Materials and worked as a mechanic until retiring from the successor, Rhodes and Jamieson in 1986. After retirement Kenny kept himself busy with his many projects. Kenny was truly a "Jack Of All Trades " when it came to anything mechanical and loved helping out neighbors, friends and relatives with repairs to their cars, RVs, tractors or anything else with an engine. Kenny loved talking with people and was often found holding court in his garage watching his beloved Oakland As, "Shooting the Breeze" and handing out advice to those who would stop by for a beer. Legend has it that Kennys garage was the original "Man Cave" One of Kennys joys was his family and always looked forward to having everyone at his house for Christmas. He is survived by his 4 children: Leroy (Linda) of Spring Valley, Ca, Gayle (Dave) of Loomis, Ca, Robbie of Pleasant Hill, Ca and Amy (Cary) of Morrison, Co. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren: Jenny, Ben, Chris and Michael and 7 Great Grandchildren.
