Sandra 'Sandy' Lee Cooper
May 24th, 1940 - February 3rd, 2017
Sandra(Sandy) Lee Cooper Resident of Fairfield Sandra Lee (Sandy) Watson Cooper, 76, passed away on Friday, Feb 3, 2017 in Vacaville, California surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born 24 May 1940 in Phoenix, Arizona to Wes and Vera Watson and grew up in Glendale, Arizona. She married William Samuel Cooper in 1959 and was the mother to three sons: William Samuel Cooper, Jr (JR), Robert Alan, and Michael Ray. Sandy and Bill started their married life in Anchorage, Alaska. They were then stationed at Travis AFB and continued to live in the Fairfield/Napa area for 55 years while they worked and raised their family. They made many friends and impacted many lives through their years of service. They explored many corners of California as well as the world. Sandy enjoyed sewing, crafts, genealogy and doing things for and with her family. Sandys family was the light of her life. She enjoyed their company tremendously and delighted in family get-togethers, trips and cruises. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was proud of their many accomplishments. She treasured being called Mom, Grandma, and GGMa. Sandy was a member of the LDS Church and held varied callings in her life. She was a temple worker in Oakland for many years. Most recently she provided service to the sisters in her ward. Sandy exhibited a strong testimony of and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and had an abiding faith that she would be reunited with her loved ones, especially her son, Bob. Sandy is survived by her husband, Bill, her sons, JR (Teresa) and Mike (Cathy), a grandson, Will, a granddaughter, Laura, and a great grandson, Camden. She is also survived by her mother, Vera, siblings, Sue (Gary) and Tom (Marcella) and sister-in-law, Janelle and her sister from another mother, Linda. Her father, Wes, her son, Bob, and her brother, John, predeceased her. Sandy will be greatly missed by her family, as well as those who have been touched by her love, her generosity and her service. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb 10, 2017, visitation 9:30 -10:45 am with service at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 101 Oakwood Dr., Fairfield, CA 94534. Interment will be at Fairfield Suisun Cemetery.
