Neil M. Rose February 7, 1921 July 12, 2015 Resident of Walnut Creek Neil Rose, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12. Neil was a professional ice skater and toured around the world with his slapstick comedy act "The Three Rookies." He owned and operated ice arenas in Walnut Creek, and then became the General Manager of the Ice Arena Division for the Taubman Co., including operating the Sunvalley Ice Arena. He taught thousands of people to skate, and started the careers for Olympians Peggy Fleming and Charlie Tickner. He had a large extended ice skating family and always made everyone laugh and smile. He is survived by his wife Paula of 14 years. He was a loving father to his daughter, Michelle and her husband Rob, his son Ray, his daughter Kathy, his daughter Wendy and her husband Mic. He was also blessed with 3 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, August 15 at 11 am at Oak Park Hills Chapel in Walnut Creek.
