Juliabel R. Bazell

Julia R. Bazell May 29, 1928 - March 30, 2013 Juliabel R. Bazell passed away in Walnut Creek, California March 30, 2013 in the arms of her husband Clyde Bazell and her loving family. Judy, as she is better known by her many friends, is preceded in death by her former husband George "Scotty" Roberts and her son Robin. Judy is the daughter of Earl and Sylvia Freeman of Ironton, Ohio. She has been blessed with a long, fun-filled, productive family life with sister's Winifred, Bernadine, Vivian and brother Lewis. Her family includes daughters Jenny Sue Legg of Lexington, KY, and Amy Lou Bullock of Richmond, KY from her long enduring marriage to Scotty Roberts of Ironton, Ohio. Judy's California family, inherited at the time of her marriage to Clyde Bazell include: Phillip and Helen Bazell of Lafayette, son Graydon and daughter Nicole; Michael R. Bazell of Fairfield and daughters Renee and Rebecca; Christopher and Lisa Bazell of Clayton; Jeanne Ellen and Peter van der Zee of Loleta and daughters Taylor and Linnea Hill. Judy has been an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Ironton, Ohio, and upon her move to California became active in the San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church in Danville, CA. She will be remembered for her profoundly adventurous spirit, her warmth, and her deep Christian faith. Family members, her many friends in California and across the country have, for many years, held her dearly in their hearts. A memorial service will be held at The San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church in Danville, Saturday, April 6 at 12:00 PM.
