Thomas Luce Allen died unexpectedly in Walnut Creek, CA on June 8, 2019. He was the loving father of Peter Kielty Allen and Madeleine Kielty Allen. Thomas was the son of Joan Luce Allen and John Richard Allen (deceased) of Barrington, RI. He is also survived by brother Stephen Allen (Holly) of Buffalo, NY and sister Margaret Allen of Bath, ME as well as nephews Read and John Allen. Thomas was a native of Barrington, RI. He attended college at Brown University and held a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. Thomas was a passionate environmentalist and shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends, teaching his children to backpack at the age of 7. The family requests that contributions in Thomass memory be made to The Yosemite Conservancy or The Sierra Club. Details of a memorial service will be published at a later date.
