Phyllis Ann Imahara

Phyllis Ann Dare Imahara, 70, of San Ramon, CA, passed away on November 25, 2022, after a difficult battle with cervical cancer. Phyllis was born on August 8th, 1952 to Morris and Josephine Dare at Camp Roberts, California. She grew up in Oakland, California, graduating from Skyline High School in 1970. Phyllis was extremely proud of her roots and loved telling people where she grew up. Phyllis went on to attend San Jose State University where she met and married her loving husband, Clifford. Phyllis cherished her time in San Ramon where she and Clifford raised their three children. She began working at Sees Candies in San Ramon, where she worked for over 34 years. She became well known throughout the community for her friendly and outgoing demeanor. Her family will especially remember the delicious treats she would share with her grandchildren. The Magnolia Square Shopping Center will never be the same. Her friends will miss her at the Starbucks next door or Fat Maddies Grille. Outside of work, she loved relaxing at home, which included passionately rooting for her favorite sports teams: the Giants, Niners, Warriors, and USC football. She also enjoyed shopping, eating Cliffords homemade meals and spending time with their dog, Izzy. Phyllis was predeceased by her father, Morris Dare. She is survived by her caring husband, Clifford, her three children, Jennifer (Mark, grandchildren Ciera and Cru), Michael (Daniela, grandsons Roman and Nico), and Jeffrey (Michelle, grandchildren Olivia, Sophia, Frankie and Carter), her mother, Josephine Dare and brother, Kenneth Dare. Services will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church (1600 Rossmoor Parkway, Walnut Creek) on December 16th, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
