Harry Conrad Parsons, 71, passed away March 4, 2024. Harry was born November 16, 1952, in Pinole, California, the youngest son of Wilbur Parsons (1915-1990) and Edith Verneal Reinhardt Parsons (1922-2007). Harry graduated from Alhambra High School in Martinez, California, where he was a long-time resident. He spent his final years in Sacramento, California. Harry is survived by his 6 children, Jennifer (Brett) Oliver, Brian Parsons, Stephanie Parsons, Christopher Parsons, Rachelle (Ghaylen) Parsons-Laouini, and Kimberly (Ramiro) Santillana; the mother of his children, Carole Ann (Larry) Newell; and his 6 grandchildren: Lucianna (10), Christopher (8), Lorenzo (5), Maya (4), Ellisia (3), and Sofia (1). Harry is preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother George Parsons. He is survived by his other 5 older siblings: Thelma (Neil) Ross, Steaven (Patricia) Parsons, Louella (Larryꝉ) Selph, RaNae (Ray) Haggard, and Wanda (Raymond) Franklin. Harry also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Harry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for which he served a mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Harry loved the Gospel and often shared his thoughts and feelings about it. Harry was an accomplished guitarist and musician. As a young adult, he was a guitar instructor at Brigham Young University-Utah. He then went on to own Parsons Music Service Store in Concord, California in the 1980’s. Harry loved and believed in music. He dreamed of being a professional musician and loved to entertain. He was a fan of classic country, the blues, and rock ‘n roll oldies, with notable favorites including Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, John Denver, Simon & Garfunkel, and George Benson. Harry shared his love of music everywhere he went, performing at church events, family gatherings, assemblies at his children’s schools, as well as just around town. Harry was a man of great passion. He loved his family very much. He understood the hardships of life and was a deeply empathetic soul. He had a heart of gold and loved to express himself. Harry was one of a kind and has passed on quite the legacy to his children. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. Funeral Service will be announced at a later date.
