Evie Maheras

Evie Maheras, 89, of Belleveiw, Florida passed away on November 14, 2018 at the Brandley Hospice House, Summerfield, FL. She was the wife of the late Aris Maheras who passed in 1990. She was born November 16, 1928 in Weirton, West Virginia. Evie was a Reading Specialist and classroom teacher in Miami-Dade Public Schools for over 45 years. In 1984 she was named a Master Teacher by the State of Florida. An avid reader and a lover of classical music, she and her late husband, Aris, spent many years traveling and living in Europe. She is survived by a son, Dean and his wife Debbie of Ocala, FL; son, Tim of Miami Shores, FL; sister, Sandy Bardos and her husband Phil of Channel Islands Beach, CA; brother, George, of Georgia, and several nephews and nieces.
