Jonathen Snelling

Jonathen David Snelling, 23, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on June 27th. Jonathen was born on November 16, 1999, to David Snelling and Jenne Loffer in Fort Collins Colorado. He lived most of his life in Fort Collins and Wellington in northern Colorado, but he recently also lived in Cold Spring Minnesota. Jonathen had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. He loved his family and friends deeply and was a fierce protector of those he loved. Jonathen loved fishing, camping and being in the great outdoors. He spent one summer with his Uncle Joe in Alaska and had many adventurous camping trips. He also loved being active and would often be found playing basketball at the neighborhood parks. Jonathen was very creative and loved to express himself through music, writing and drawing. Jonathen had great love for kids and animals. He found joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews. His Siberian husky, Phantom, meant the world to him and she misses him terribly. Jonathen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Duane and Connie Snelling, his aunt Carol Snelling, maternal great-grandfather Jesse Foster and his niece Aiyla Snelling. Jonathen is survived by his mother and father Jenne Loffer (Charlie Loffer), David Snelling (Shelly Snelling), his siblings Ashley Snelling, Tyler Snelling, Branden Snelling and Jorden Snelling. His grandparents Art and Gayle Brakefield. His great-grandmother Sally Foster. His Aunts Annalee, Gina, and Mary and Uncles Joe, Dustin and Ted. He is also survived by his five nieces and nephews, four stepbrothers, and countless cousins and friends. Although we are deeply saddened by Jonathen’s sudden passing, we take comfort in knowing he is at home with his heavenly father. He is finally at peace and no longer battling the heartaches of this world. The family will be holding a private service.
