Paul Allen Abrahamson

Paul Allen Abrahamson, born May 10, 1957, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away in Lakewood Colorado on August 25, 2023, at the age of 66. Paul was the son of Lowell and Minette Abrahamson. He was the youngest of three siblings in the Abrahamson family. Paul was a quiet, loving, and devoted husband and father who adored his wife, sons and especially his granddaughter Zoey. Paul was a talented musician who attended Ft. Collins High School and Colorado State University on a music scholarship. With perfect pitch, his knowledge of musical structure and complexities were second nature to him. In addition, Paul excelled in engineering and chemistry. His scientific and technical background was used extensively throughout his career. He was recognized by his peers as a leading expert on concrete structures and sealants. Paul participated as a coauthor on multiple patents in his career. Immediately after the 911 attack, he was brought to New York City to participate in a task force to seal and support the subway tunnels beneath the destroyed twin towers. Water migration from the adjacent rivers was a major concern that had to be addressed. Paul loved the game of golf and the complexities of baseball. He was blessed with exceptional hand-eye coordination. He was a natural and played scratch golf in his prime. He enjoyed watching golf on television like his father before him, and it was fitting that he watched an exciting golf match featuring his favorite Norwegian player Viktor Hovland in his final hours before passing. He was a true stoic Norwegian. Paul is survived by his wife of 37 years Deain, sons Daniel & Cortland, Daughter in-law Gina, Granddaughter Zoey, Brother Mark, Sister Peggy Catlin, Mother & Father-in-law Dona& Larry Eigel, Brother-in-laws Larry Eigel Jr. & Joel Catlin, Sister in-laws Twila Eigel, Jayme Abrahamson. A memorial service will be held at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover St. in Ft. Collins, CO 80525 on September 22, 2023, at 10:00 am. Rector Krista Dias will be presiding. An Urn will be placed in the Memorial Garden on the East side of St. Lukes at the conclusion of the service. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook through Vessey Funeral Services (Ft.
