Victor Chavez

Chavez, Victor, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Mr. Chavez is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Thelma Chavez; children, Ruby Montoya and husband, Victor, Ida Jo' Moreno and husband, Chris, and Victor Chavez Jr. and Ron Souders; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Cristobal Chavez from Clovis, NM; sisters, Josie Paiz and husband, Johnny from Dora, NM and Terrie Paiz from Portales, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Chavez; grandson, Matthew Chavez; and numerous brothers, and sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 in the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, followed by Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Moya, Severo Moreno, A. J. Moreno, Raymond Chavez, Dominic Eylicio, Julian Eylicio, Francisco Montano, Tony Johnson Chavez, and Nathan Montano. Honorary pallbearers are Annette Montano, Linda Moya-Rael, Anthony Rael, Priscilla Chavez, Frances Chavez, and Veronica Moya.
