Susan Shannon

Susan Shannon, long-time Fort Collins & Denver resident passed away at her home on Monday, September 25, 2023. She was born in Austin Minnesota on January 29, 1954, to Caroline & Harley Shannon, moved to Fort Collins where she & her sisters grew up. She attended and graduated from Fort Collins High School and Colorado State University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and worked as advertising manager for the CSU Collegian and worked at Aspen Leaf through college. After graduation she worked for Vail Associates and then was employed for many years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. After retirement she enjoyed many friendships and social activities including CSU Alumni events, DAR, Denver Republican organizations, book clubs, historical societies, outdoor activities and spending time with extended family and friends. Susan is survived by her sisters, Martha Morgan (Ken) of North Carolina and Jane Graff (Mike) of Greeley, CO, niece, Dana Lail (Chris), their son Jackson of North Carolina, and from Colorado nephew Chad Morgan (Emily) and their daughter Addie and son Matthew and nephew Michael Graff (Anikka). She was preceded in death by her parents. Susan had many friends and colleagues in Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado and throughout the US who will miss her friendship, wit and humor. Donations may be made in her name to UC Health Sciences Fellows Support Fund (Code D-00333578). There will be a small family service in Fort Collins at a later date.
