Pat M Dominguez

Patricino Dominguez Jr. Was called to Heaven on Sept. 2, 2014 after a battle with cancer he passed away peacefully at his home in Los Lunas. Pat was born Oct. 1, 1946 in Grants to Patricino Dominguez Sr. and Eduvigen (Mazon). He graduated from Grants High School in 1965 and attended New Mexico State University for 3 Years. Pat started his career working in the mines around the Grants area as a ventilation tech. He worked his way up to Foreman and before the Uranium Industry collapsed he was Director of Safety at the Kerr-McGee/Churchrock facility. He continued his career as a Safety Consultant for mining, oil, gas and nuclear companies in over 40 of the continental United States. Before retiring he was an instructor for N.M.S.U. Miners Training Program for almost 2 years. Pat paid special attention to details and that was evident in everything he said and did. He treated every acquaintance as a friend for life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, restoring old vehicles and spending time with family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Patricino and Edu, his sisters Loyola Baca, Jane Montano, and brother, Dennis Dominguez. He is survived by his wife Terri, twins Patricia of Albuquerque and Pat III (Rebecca ) of Los Lunas, and daughter Paulette (Marcus) Baca of Corpus Christi, Texas. Grandchildren Tasha, Tamrah, Triston, Christopher, Micheal, Jacob, and Danielle. Great grandchildren Ryan, Dillon, Aiden, Aliyah, Hailey, and Bella. Sisters Rita (Billy) Chavez, Eleanor and Pauline Dominguez, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Treasa Romero. A rosary will be held Sat. Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St Teresa Catholic Church immediately followed by a Mass then with a burial at Grants Memorial Park. A reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus.
