Donald William Finch passed away on August 10, 2007 at Albuquerque Veterans Hospital after a long battle with Leukemia. He was a retired contractor and longtime resident of New Mexico. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. He was an avid archer, a certified instructor, and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He loved gardening, cooking and living in the mountains. He will be laid to rest with his loving wife, Wilma, who preceded him in death July 22, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, William and Coral Finch and brother, Albert. He is survived by his children: Robert (Opal) Stevens, Janet Finch, James (Donna) Hughes, Marjorie (Mack) Shufelt-MacCutchern, Tamera (Michael) Butler; grandchildren; Jeremiah (Heather) Finch whom they raised; Billy, Bobby Jr., Anthony, David, Keith, Katie, Kortney, Amanda; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Dean (Anna) Finch; and sister, Lois Hall. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with Military Honors.
