Jerry E. Fleischer

Jerry E. Fleischer, born September 30, 1956 in Los Angles, California, passed away suddenly on March 1, 2007. Jerry was the son of Frank and Charlene Fleischer, and the older brother of Glenn. Jerry attended the University of California, San Diego and graduated from medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston, where his passion for Anesthesia began. He completed his medical residency in Anesthesia at UCSD and a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia at Mayo Clinic. He began his long career at Mayo Clinic before returning to UCSD as a clinical professor. He moved to private practice in Albuquerque in 1992 and was with Anesthesia Associates of New Mexico, P.C. until the time of his death. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Presbyterian Foundation which provided financial support to Presbyterian Hospital and the medical needs of the community. Jerry is survived by his wife, Connie; and three loving children: Rachel, Jordan, and Natalie; and his father, Frank Fleischer of Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by close associates in the medical community and many loving friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Congregation Albert at 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Donations can be made to the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation Anesthesia Endowment, P.O.
