Amadeo B Herrera

Amadeo B Herrera Jr., age 25, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and cousin was called home by our heavenly Father on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Amadeo was born November 9, 1988 in Gallup, NM and raised in La Jara, NM. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alberto and Armolita Herrera of La Jara, NM and maternal grandparents, Benny and Louise Castillo of Torreon, NM. Amadeo is survived by his father, Amadeo A. Herrera; step-mother, Cathy Aragon from La Jara, NM; mother, Loretta Castillo from Torreon, NM; sisters, Armolita Herrera and David, April Herrera and Zack; brother, Nathan Castillo; sister, Geri Ann Castillo; step-sister, Jessica Tarango and Leonard, step-brothers, Merced Aragon and Veda, Michael Aragon and Kristie, Jonathan Aragon and Lucy; numerous other family and friends. Amadeo had a bright personality and loved being an uncle. Amadeo will be greatly missed but not forgotten. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 6:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM also at the church. Amadeo will be laid to rest in La Jara, NM next to his grandparents following the Mass. Pallbearers will be Martin Herrera, William Sauter, Isacc Castillo, Israel Castillo, Michael Aragon, and Jonathan Aragon. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Martinez, Mickey Herrera, Joe Gallegos, Christopher Montoya, Nick Montoya, Roman Jacquez, Mike Pino, Audrina Romero, Jacqueline Schmitt, and all his brothers and sisters.
