Marjorie Ann Hradecky

Marjorie Ann (Schlueter) Hradecky, 81 of Longmont, CO went to her Heavenly home March 17, 2017. She was born June 6, 1935 in Sidney, NE, to Henry and Anita (Wilkens) Schlueter. She grew up in Sterling, CO. She attended Sterling High School. After moving to Wichita, KS, she attended school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse so she could care for many people. She was employed with St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Marjorie and Jerome returned to Colorado in 1976. She was then employed with St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. After retiring from nursing, she worked at Wal-Mart for 10 years, where she continued to help people and make more friends. Marjorie was an avid traveler and could not be stopped. From day trips to the mountains to a day trip to Canada (yes a day trip!!) She enjoyed seeing new places as well as visiting with family and seeing old and new friends. After retiring, Marjorie enjoyed playing Bingo, attending her weekly seniors luncheons, and “swimming” at the recreation center, along with taking many senior trips to the east coast and multiple cruises. She married Jerome Hradecky in 1954. He preceded her in death in 2008. From this union, are 5 children, Diana Prosser (Greg), Jerri Zuber (Dale), Jerome Hradecky, Jr. (Kerry), Patrick Hradecky and Preston Hradecky. Marjorie is also survived by 3 brothers, Edward Schlueter and Arnold Schlueter of Farmington, NM and Raymond (Betty) Schlueter of Sterling, CO. Five grandchildren, Stephanie Hradecky, Brandon Hradecky (Stacy), Anthony Zuber, Zane Hradecky (Tiffany) and Colby Linton. Two great-granddaughters, Zoey and Payton Hradecky, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 640 Alpine St., Longmont, CO 80504.
