Biography Bentura “Ben” Garcia, 91, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 in Longmont, CO. He was born on September 5, 1923 in Gonzales, Texas to Bentura and Lucinda Garcia, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death, his Son Juan “John” Garcia and Grand-daughter Leslie Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Garcia. They were married on August 27, 1945, moved to the Johnston/Milliken/Longmont area in 1953 and worked as a Construction Union Labor Foreman for most of his life. He is also survived by his sons, Benito “Benny” Garcia, Delfino (Rachel) Garcia, Rudy (Rina) Garcia, Jimmie (Frieda) Garcia and Leroy Garcia, his nineteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, and special nephew, Edward (Linda) Garcia. Ben loved to dance, play his guitar and listen to Tex Mex music. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his wonderful barbecues and his legendary stories. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home Chapel, 503 Terry St., Longmont, CO. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am, Carroll-Lewellen Chapel. Burial following, Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont, CO. Service Information A service summary is not available
