Sofia Gutierrez Moya

Sofia Gutierrez Moya, age 90, born August 3, 1924 passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Moya is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Moya; sons, Richard Moya and Lorenzo Gutierrez; daughter, Patsy Torres and husband Bobby Torres. Sofia is survived by her children; Louisa Ronquillo (Richard), Ramon Moya, Angelina Miranda, Gloria Moya (Stephen Gassner), Alfred Moya Jr (Geri), Martin Moya (Heidi) and Mercy Moya; sister, Tocha Orona; 21 grandchildren, Sandra Ronquillo, Carol and Chuck Banks, Ricardo and Marie Ronquillo, Yolanda Moya, Tony Ray and Erika Moya, Marlene Duffy, Debbie and Norman Trujillo, Darlene and Freddie Martinez, Bobby and Renee Torres, Renee and Amanda Moya, Paul, Natjasa, Alfredo and Desirea Moya; 31 great-grandchildren, Monica and Cody McCown, Jessica Lucero, Delilah, Angelo and Marissa Ronquillo, Krystal and Matthew Serna, Savanah, Jeremy Moya, Max, Sid, Caine and Corrine Duffy, Norman and Eva Trujillo, Desiree Trujillo, Christopher, Freddie, Timothy and Jenelle Martinez, David and Arianna Torrez, Katelyn, Brandon, Christina, Isaiah, Alfredo Jr, Vincent, Giancarlo, Sariah Moya; 5 great great-grandchildren, Felicianna, Kristaliah, Marcus, Ace and Ryder Mckenzie Martinez. Sofia loved to crochet and enjoyed being outside tending to her yard. A viewing will be held on Thursday December 11, 2014 at 5:00 pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6:00 pm, all at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel. The Memorial Service will take place on Friday December 12, 2014 at 10:00 am also at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel, with interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery immediately following. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Ronquillo, Alfredo Moya, Isaiah Moya, Norman Trujillo, Matthew Serna, and Cain Duffy.
