Mariano Sais Perea

Mariano Sais Perea, 55, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 26, 2013. He was born on El Cerro Loop to Jesus Brito Perea and Antonia Sais Perea on January 7, 1958. Mariano was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. He was a former truck driver and was known to take random trips into Albuquerque just to look at Peterbilts and to reminisce. He was also an avid sports enthusiast of football, baseball, and basketball. His favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs and he was so proud to wear their colors. Anyone who knew Mariano was touched by his love and passion for all children as well as every animal he encountered. Family was extremely important to him; and his faith gave him strength through life's journey. Everyone who stopped by to visit and say hello never left without seeing his unique smile, and receiving a loving hug with a God Bless You! Your family, friends, and the world you lived in will miss you! Mariano is survived by his brothers Martin (Ann), Manuel (Theresa), Albert (Rosalind), and Steven; his caregiver/cousin Diane Chiwiwi-who gave selflessly for many years; and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as a host of family and friends. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta on Thursday October 31, 2013 beginning with a Visitation at 9:00 AM. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Valencia Cemetery. His urn bearer will be Diane Chiwiwi.
