Raymond Kaminski
January 11th, 1918 - March 20th, 2016
Raymond F. “Ray” Kaminski, 98, Longmont, CO, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at The Bridge Assisted Living in Longmont, CO. He was born January 11, 1918 to Michael and Mary (Novak) Kaminski in LaPorte County, Indiana. Ray graduated from Stillwell High School in 1937, in Stillwell Indiana. He married Pauline Piotrowicz in 1941. Ray grew up in Northern Indiana and moved several times, finally settling in Longmont Colorado in 1974. He has been an active member of the Catholic Church throughout his life, most recently St. Francis Assisi of Longmont Colorado. He retired from Sundstrand Corporation in 1984, then, continued to work for Valley Camper RV Dealer in Longmont on special occasions until they closed. Ray liked to Polka dance, fish and travel. With his wife, Pauline, they traveled the US in their 5th wheel camper, participating in Polka Festivals, along with visiting family. He was a great cook, and his family looked forward to visiting him to have a bowl of his chili or his potato salad. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Kaminski -2010- Survivors: Children; John (Martha) Kaminski of Groverton, Indiana, Stanley (Jean) Kaminski of Rathdrum, Idaho, Jerry (Wanda) Kaminski of Loveland, Colorado, Steve (Barb) Kaminski of Florissant, Missouri; 13 Grandchildren, 34 Great-Grandchildren and 15 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Lucille Grover of LaPorte, Indiana, numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home Chapel, 503 Terry St., Longmont, CO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3791 Pike Rd., Longmont, CO. Burial will follow Mass at the Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont, CO. Memorial Contributions: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Service Information A service summary is not available
