Elzy Mark Knapp

Elzy Mark Knapp, passed into eternal life peacefully at the Veterans Hospital on June 11, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of New Mexico. He was retired US ARMY 1ST SERGEANT and also a retired Teamster. Loved dearly by his family. He leaves behind his faithful and loving wife of 59 years Sharon Joyce Knapp & only child Debora Caputo both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He leaves behind his 5 grandchildren the ultimate joys of his life Mark Russell, Phoenicia Cordova and Husband Ruben Cordova -Colorado, Porsche Reynolds and husband Niel Reynolds- Arizona, Petra Aguirre and Husband Ricky Aguirre - Arizona and Cross Caputo -New Mexico. Great Grandchildren and his legacy Isabella Luchetti (Lugo), Antonio, Chase and Layla Cordova, and Marshal and Lucille Aguirre. "Papo or Pops" as known by his family was generous & kind to his family. He was a very hard working man and a great provider. His intelligence, smile and sense of humor will be missed dearly. Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday June 16, 2016 at 10:00 am with full Military Honors as afforded by the United States Army Honor Guard.
